SHAMROCK WALK/WALKATHON - Event was super fun and I have never seen so much Green in my life!
Your children were wonderfully spirited today! They marched, danced, skipped, and speed walked around our school grounds and hallways with friends and smiles and with the single goal of getting their steps in on their fit bits...I mean...helping to raise money for our school programs! THEY MADE SUCH A DIFFERENCE!
Now it is our turns to support them with their pledges and bring in the money they worked so hard to earn on Friday morning. Again, all the dollars raised go directly to purchasing supplies for students and teachers, fun and edcational events at MES, and supporting our programs overall! Next steps are outlined below:
- Pledge envelopes are due March 23. Click this easy link to pledge! Click this easy link to pledge!

Critical Parent Survey
This year, our Dixie District Schools administrative teams collectively, generated a brief ANONYMOUS PARET SURVEY to gather information about our programs and community. Our goal is to carefully review the data and see how we can improve our programs. Results will be shared with Site Council, Staff, and Administrative Teams. We are looking for 100% participation so we hope to hear from everyone. This link will be passed to teachers to send off next week as well.
Wait Until 8th - Supporting families with the influx of Smart Phones
Are you wondering if you should purchase a new iPhone for your son or daughter? Perhaps you are curious when the "right" age is to provide one for them? Maybe you're feeling a little pressure from your child to purchase a smartphone because their friends have one? And then again, maybe your child already has one and you are experiencing a few challenges related to how she/he is acting or feeling towards you, others, or themselves?
Once the reults of the Parent Survey come back we will look at a meeting date to discuss!

Local Funding for Dixie School District
For almost 30 years, our community has provided the Dixie School District with local funding to retain qualified teachers, protect academic programs and keep class sizes manageable. This locally-controlled funding provides $1.9 million each year for our schools and accounts for 8.5% of the District’s annual budget.
This funding is set to expire soon, which is why the Dixie School District Board of Trustees placed Measure B on the May 8, 2018 mail ballot election. Measure B will renew local school funding at the current $352 rate and add $118 per parcel, with all funds staying local to support our schools. All voters in the Dixie School District will have the opportunity to vote on the measure.
